Dr. Jennifer Wallace, a highly trained dentist, leads the Palmetto Smiles team with a wealth of experience and expertise. Having completed hundreds of hours of advanced training at the Facial Beauty Institute, she is a certified master instructor in various fields, including facial beauty, sleep-disordered breathing, craniofacial pain/TMD, facial growth, development, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Wallace’s journey began in Columbia, South Carolina, where she grew up before attending Clemson University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. She later graduated from The Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 1998, where she also met her husband, Dr. Aaron Sarathy, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Following her education, Dr. Wallace served as a US Navy dentist, completing an advanced general dentistry residency. She was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, and then Naples, Italy, before serving at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. During her four years there, she provided dental care to military personnel across branches.
In 2006, Dr. Wallace and her family moved to Beaufort, where she opened Palmetto Smiles of Beaufort, a state-of-the-art practice. Today, she and her team are dedicated to whole-health dentistry, recognizing the vital mouth-body connection. They continuously advance their skills at the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), specializing in TMJ therapy and cosmetic dentistry.
In addition to her certifications in advanced jaw development orthodontics, orofacial myofunctional therapy, and implant surgery, Dr. Wallace is a Vivos provider, further expanding her comprehensive dental care offerings. She and her family embrace the Lowcountry lifestyle, enjoying all that Beaufort has to offer.
